Privacy Policy

This Privacy Policy explains how RiverMap AI Solutions ("we", "us") collects, uses and protects personal data through founder.capymaths.com and the CapyMaths application. We are the data controller for the personal data described in this policy.

1. What we collect

• Email address — provided at checkout, used for receipts, account linking and Pro feature emails.
• Payment information — handled by Stripe; we never see your full card details.
• CapyMaths account data — your parent profile, child usernames, year groups and any settings you configure inside the app.
• Practice data — answers, attempts, scores and mastery progress generated by your child's use of CapyMaths. We store aggregate signals at the family level only.
• Analytics — anonymous page-view and interaction data via Vercel Analytics.

2. Why we use it

• To deliver and bill the Membership (legal basis: performance of contract).
• To send service emails, including Weekly Insights and Skills Check summaries (legal basis: performance of contract).
• To improve CapyMaths (legal basis: legitimate interest in product improvement, balanced against your rights).
• To comply with statutory record-keeping (legal basis: legal obligation).

3. Who we share it with

We use these data processors. Each is bound by contract to use your data only as instructed by us:

• Stripe — payment processing.
• Supabase — database, authentication and serverless functions.
• Resend — transactional email delivery.
• Google (Gemini API) — generates Weekly Insights and other AI features from a summary of your child's practice data. Per Google's policy, prompts and outputs from Gemini are not used to train Google's models.
• Vercel — website hosting and analytics.

We do not sell or rent your personal data to third parties. We do not show third-party advertising in the CapyMaths app or on this site.

4. Children's data

CapyMaths is designed to be used by children under the guidance of a parent or carer. Children do not have a direct billing relationship with us. We display children's progress only in aggregate form to the parent account that owns the subscription. We do not publish any child-identifiable data.

5. Where your data is stored

Our primary database is hosted in the European Union by Supabase. Some processors (Stripe, Google) operate in additional regions under approved international transfer mechanisms.

6. How long we keep it

We retain your account and billing records for 7 years after your final cancellation, as required by UK statutory record-keeping obligations. Practice data is anonymised within 12 months of account closure.

7. Your rights

You have the right to:

• Access the personal data we hold about you.
• Correct any inaccurate data.
• Request deletion of your data, subject to our statutory retention obligations.
• Object to processing, or restrict processing, in certain circumstances.
• Receive a copy of your data in a portable format.
• Withdraw consent at any time where processing is based on consent.
• Complain to the UK Information Commissioner's Office (ico.org.uk).

8. Cookies

This site uses minimal cookies: Vercel Analytics (anonymous) and Stripe Checkout (essential, when you click "Become a Founder"). We do not use advertising cookies.
